Q:  What are the benefits of Online Banking?

A: Online Banking provides a convenient and secure environment in which vital banking functions can be performed twenty four hours a day, seven days a week from a personal computer.  Available functions include reviewing balances and detailed transaction information, transferring funds between accounts and viewing and printing account statements.

Q:  Is Online Banking secure?

A:  Yes, information security is a top priority for Southern Bank & Trust.  Sophisticated security measures have been enacted to facilitate an online banking environment that protects users’ privacy and security.

Q:  How much does Online Banking cost?

A: Online Banking is currently provided to customers free of charge.

Q:  I’m interested in Online Banking, but I’m not sure that I’m ready to enroll.  Can I try online banking without enrolling?

A: A demo model of Online Banking is available to demonstrate the features and benefits of the service, before the commitment of enrollment is actually needed.  This provides customers the opportunity to fully determine if the Online Banking service fits their individual needs.

Q:  How do I enroll in Online Banking?

A: To enroll in Online Banking, simply click the “Enroll Now” selection on the Online Banking Module located on the homepage or click here.

Q:  How do I reset my password?

A: To reset your Online Banking password, click the “Forgot Password” selection on the Online Banking Module located on the homepage or click here.

Q:  How long after my transactions occur will they appear on Online Banking?

A:  Transactions ordinarily post to the “Upcoming Transactions” tab on the left column in real time.  It is possible in rare occasions for a processing disruption to cause a slight delay.

Q:  For what period of time can I view my account history?

A: Users can view four months of transaction details, as well as twelve trailing statements within Online Banking.

Q:  Can I use online banking with my personal financial management software?

A: Yes.  Online Banking currently allows users to export account information for use with standard spreadsheets and accounting systems such as Intuit © Quicken™ and Microsoft © Money ™.  Due to the stricter standards that are now required for logging in with multi-factor security, downloads may only be possible from Online Banking to users’ software and not vice versa.

Q:  What happens if I have a transfer that falls on a holiday or weekend?

A: In order to best suit the customers’ needs, Online Banking affords the user the option to decide how to handle this situation.  Users can either elect to transfer funds the last business day before the holiday/weekend or transfer the funds the first business day after the holiday/weekend.
